About Us

Orange Coast Database Associates, Inc is a small database training and programming group serving Southern California. Our business office is in Laguna Niguel and our training facility is in nearby San Juan Capistrano. Both are just inland from the beach cities of Laguna Beach and Dana Point. This places us about midway between the Los Angeles and San Diego metropolitan areas.

We offer training in our facilities for all the Microsoft Office products at all levels. Microsoft Access is our specialty and we offer a wide variety of Microsoft Access classes up to and including Microsoft Access VBA. In addition to the Microsoft Office courses we also offer training on Crystal Reports, Relational Database Design, Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. In these latter two cases we cater to the business analyst working in a decision support setting. We are probably the only company in the area that offers SQL training with this focus. Most companies are too busy with certification training to serve this market.

In addition to the above we can provide training for the Adobe products on-site at your faciltities.

All of our San Juan Capistrano classes feature limited enrollment for that personal touch. Our small classes make for a user-friendly setting with time to be specific in adddressing client needs.

We have four primary instructors: Betty, Carol, Dan and Sandy. Dan and Sandy teach or provide consulting on Access, SQL and the database products while Betty and Carol handle Microsoft Office and Adobe. All have many years experience teaching working professionals and have extensive industry experience themselves.

Dan, the principle instructor is an ex software manager with Digital Equipment and has an MBA and a Masters Degree in Computer Science.
